The Effects of Acupuncture , Venesection , Bupleuri Radix Extract and C.M. solution on Antipyretic action and Variation of Constituents of Blood in Pyrexic Rabbits by injected Typhoid - Vaccine

Abstract
|
|
|
The antipyretic action and variations of constituents of blood in pyretic rabbits, by injected Typhoid vaccine, which were treated with acupuncture(A), treated with venesection(V), administered with Bupleuri Radix extract(B) and injected with Chloramphenicol solution(C.M.) were studied.
1. Antipyretic action was excellent in rabbits administered with Bupleuri Radix extract(B) and injected with Chloramphenicol solution(C.M.).
2. Recovery of White Blod Cell Number was excellent in rabits administered with Bupleuri Radix extract(B).
3. Hemoglobin which decreased by injected Typhoid vaccine was changeles.
4. Lymphocyte which is mediation of Immune system increased rapidly and continued in rabbits treated with acupuncture(A).
But in rabbits administered with Bupleuri Radix extract(B) and treated with venesection(V), Lymphocyte increased for a time and decreased.
5. Neutrophil increased in rabbits administered with Bupleuri Radix extract(B) and injected with Chloramphenicol solution(C.M.).
According to the above experimental reserts, acupuncture was effective in increase and continuance of Lymphocytes, Bupleuri Radix extract was in antipyretic action and recovery of White Blood Cell Number and increase of Neutrophil, and Chloramphenicol solution was in antipyretic action and increase of Neutrophil.
